Important Notes

• Cast iron heats up: The handle becomes hot during use. Always use a glove or cloth.
• No chemical coating: Pans are only treated with a thin layer of vegetable oil to prevent rust. Initial black residue is normal and simply burnt oil — not a defect.
• Surface texture: Cast iron pans are made in sand moulds and may show small pits or texture. These are natural characteristics and not quality issues.
• With use, the pan becomes increasingly seasoned, smooth and non-stick.
